Waste Services
VLS Waste Services provides customized waste processing solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous industrial and commercial waste, including landfill diversion and sustainability programs, solidification of liquid waste, recycling, wastewater treatment, and waste sequestration.
Railcar Services
VLS Railcar Cleaning and Repair Services division provides specialty cleaning services for difficult-to-clean products, including chemicals, hardened materials, and pressurized gases, and comprehensive repair services for certified full-service repairs, tank car qualifications, and maintenance.
Marine Services
VLS Marine Services division offers state-of-the-art barge cleaning, repair, and gas-free facilities for various chemical solvents and downstream petroleum products.
The purpose of this position, based out of our Milwaukee facility, is to perform tasks associated with hazardous and non-hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, facility & equipment decontamination, above ground and underground tank cleaning activities, and confined space entry projects.
What you’d do
Ensures that Health and Safety policies and processes are followed as well as acting in a safe manner at all times.
Operate light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to: pumps, vacuum equipment, generators, pressure washers, skid loaders, and hand power tools.
Perform work activities related to chemical, oil, and water spills.
Work in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some may be hazardous, toxic, or corrosive.
Working in confined spaces above & below ground and on & under equipment.
Working at elevations including working from ladders, scaffolding, and power lifts.
Completion of associated paperwork, including but not limited to daily worksheets, tailgate safety sheets, vehicle inspections. equipment inspections, and Health and Safety requirements & permits.
Effectively complete forms and read and understand procedures and safety information.
Drive company vehicle to and from customer worksite.

- This position is full-time. Work hours will generally be day shifts, with some evenings and weekends.
