The Opportunity
The Senior Backend Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of scalable distributed systems that power our core logistics platform. The successful candidate will partner cross-functionally with stakeholders across Product, Design and Operations to deliver impactful outcomes that drive measurable business value in a rapidly evolving marketplace.
What you’d do
- Architect, build and maintain highly available backend services in Go
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define technical requirements
- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production systems
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong code review culture
- Drive continuous improvement across the engineering organization
Required and preferred
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in Go, Python or a comparable language
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience operating distributed systems at scale
Preferred
- Experience in the logistics or supply chain domain
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message queues
- Prior experience with observability tooling
- Physical Requirements
