Join Our Neurology Team Community Care Physicians (CCP) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join CapitalCare Neurology in Niskayuna, NY. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established neurology practice and work collaboratively with experienced neurologists and APPs while developing your expertise in outpatient neurology.
Position Highlights

On-site EMG/nerve conduction studies, EEG, and ambulatory EEG
Located within the River Road Health Park with convenient access to laboratory, imaging, primary care, and specialty services

What you’d do
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a variety of neurological conditions
Perform comprehensive histories and neurological examinations
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Manage acute and chronic neurological conditions
Order and review laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic testing
Provide patient education and medication management
Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and other members of the care team
Provide longitudinal follow-up and ongoing management
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record

License and active registration as a physician assistant or registered nurse/nurse practitioner in New York State.

Physician Assistant
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in physician assistant studies and successful completion of physician assistant training program approved by the NYS Department of Education or accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, or a program that is determined by the Department to be the substantial equivalent of a licensure qualifying or accredited program.
Current certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
At least one year of experience as a physician assistant in ambulatory health care.
Current CPR certification.
Nurse Practitioner
Successful completion of and graduation from a nurse practitioner education program acceptable to NYSED.
Current certification as a nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Successful completion of pharmacology coursework acceptable to NYSED.
Three years of professional nursing experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
At least one year of experience as a nurse practitioner in ambulatory health care.
Current CPR certification.
