Coupang Intelligent Cloud is building the next generation of cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced technology lawyer to support our cloud, data center, graphics processing unit (GPU), and artificial intelligence businesses. You will lead complex technology transactions, advise on product development and commercialization, and partner closely with business leaders and engineers on strategic infrastructure initiatives.
Based in Seoul, Korea, this position is open to candidates globally and Korean language proficiency is not required.

- Lead negotiations for complex cloud, infrastructure, data center, GPU, software, and technology transactions
- Advise business and product teams on the launch and commercialization of cloud and artificial intelligence services
- Support procurement, capacity, and strategic infrastructure initiatives involving data centers, networking, compute infrastructure, and related technologies
- Develop scalable legal frameworks, playbooks, and commercial models that enable business growth while appropriately managing risk
- Partner with Legal, Public Policy, Privacy, Security, Compliance, and Procurement stakeholders on cross-functional initiatives
Basic Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer in at least one jurisdiction
- 10+ years of legal experience gained at a leading law firm, technology company, or combination of both
- Significant experience negotiating and advising on complex technology transactions
- Experience supporting cloud, infrastructure, software, data center, telecommunications, semiconductor, or related technology businesses
- Ability to independently manage sophisticated legal matters and influence senior stakeholders

- Experience supporting hyperscale cloud providers, artificial intelligence platforms, GPU infrastructure, or data center businesses
- Experience with cloud services, infrastructure-as-a-service, platform-as-a-service, software licensing, or managed services offerings
- Experience advising product and engineering organizations during technology development and commercialization
- Experience supporting multinational technology organizations
- Ability to navigate ambiguous and rapidly changing business environments
