Travel RN – Emergency Room Location: Charles City, IA 50616 Facility: Floyd County Medical Center Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Shift: 12-hour Nights Schedule: Block schedule — 6 nights on, 8 days off Work Pattern: Tuesday–Sunday during scheduled block Job Description We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a travel assignment at Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City, Iowa. This position follows a unique 12-hour night-shift block schedule, with 6 consecutive nights on followed by 8 days off. During the scheduled work block, shifts run from Tuesday through Sunday. The ER RN will provide emergency nursing care in a Critical Access Hospital environment and must be comfortable working independently in a hospital emergency department. Critical Access Hospital experience is required for this assignment. Candidates must also hold ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
The nurse will be responsible for assessing and caring for emergency patients, responding to changing patient conditions, collaborating with providers and other healthcare professionals, and maintaining appropriate emergency department standards. Candidates should be adaptable, clinically confident, and comfortable with the block scheduling model. This opportunity is suited for an experienced ER RN who has Critical Access Hospital experience and the required emergency nursing certifications.
